1979 Where We Started
Paco Packaging & Labs relocates to Paco way in Lakewood, NJ from Philadelphia, PA. The company was focused on packaging high quality pharmaceutical products. They were one of the first US based contract manufactures to offer blister packaging. We still manufacture at this location today.
1995 Site Changes Ownership
Paco was acquired by West pharmaceutical services in 1995. West continued to focus and grow the contract manufacturing business for pharmaceutical and consumer health care companies. Site gains capability to manufacture high volume liquid and semi-solid products.
2001 A New Focus on Liquid & Semi-Solids
Lakewood, NJ site is acquired by DPT Labs. The company name was changed from Paco to DPT Lakewood. Lakewood begins to focus more on regulated pharmaceutical products.
2002 We Begin Our Nasal Journey
In 2002 we started development and manufacturing out our first unit dose nasal spray program. At this time we built a dedicated spray lab and invested in compounding and filling equipment to support nasal products.
2010 Expanded Sterile Capabilities
Lakewood launches expanded sterile development and manufacturing capabilities to include nasal sprays and aseptic vial filling. Two suites with high-speed filling lines were constructed and qualified.
2012 New Ownership
Lakewood is acquired by Renaissance acquisition holdings.
2016 The Rebrand
Non-sterile division of DPT is sold to Mylan. The Lakewood site is rebranded and named Renaissance Lakewood LLC.
2018 Reconfirming Commitment to Our Customers
In 2018 we made a strategic decision to divest our private label generics business (Renaissance SSA). We divested multiple products over multiple transactions and emerged as a standalone CDMO focused 100% on serving the needs of our customers.
Renaissance breaks ground at Lakewood site and begins construction of new science building, warehouse building, and office space. Construction of multiple new suites in manufacturing building are completed to facilitate state-of-the-art nasal capacity expansion.
